Vessels For My Hair: The Gold SeriesThis Series of work embodies the vessel represented in female form celebrating the vibrant narrative of women of color. The vessels celebrate the twist, vibrant color, loc’s and coils of our hair, the ebony color in our skin, and the complexities that make up our identity inclusive of our hair, our style, our jewelry, our tribal markings and body art, our way of presenting ourselves and being in communication with those we encounter and welcome into our circle. Our vessels share our stories, they preserve our identity, they embrace and retain our individual and shared narrative.
